WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

Many people today live, believing that they have done Or have not done enough good works(things) to earn their way to heaven. This is the exact opposite of God's word which says,
"there's none righteous; no not one,. there's none that doeth good, no! Not one" Rom.3:10-12.
Though the Bible teaches clearly that salvation and peace with God is through faith in Jesus Christ and not God's reward for what people do or attain through acts of service or penance, Yet, so many people are trying so hard to do something which they believe will please God, serve as compensation for their sins and gain them eternity with God. This is spiritual ignorance!
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9.
Patience
A rich young man full of good deeds and willing to justify himself once came to Jesus and asked

"And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me". Matthew 19:16-21
No matter what good you think you have done, offerings you have given, fasting, prayer or church programs you have attended, like the young man, you will discover there's something missing that renders you unfulfilled before God and unassured of your salvation; this is because it is not by your works.
"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Isaiah 64:6.
It takes humility of spirit to admit this.
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION
The salvation journey; knowing that "Salvation is God's unconditional mercy and pardon for anyone who genuinely confesses and receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal Saviour in true repentance"- of many are being frustrated because of the human nature which focuses on what to do rather than humbly accept this free gift of God. He Jesus wept at the futility of human efforts and declared, "ye
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: ..And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life". John 5:39-40.
Stop! We are saved by the confession of our faith in the name of Jesus Christ through the Grace of God and not by works.
"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" 2 Corinthians 5:21
 It's a work against Grace to seek salvation by the works of human hands;
"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption". 1 Corinthians 15:50
Jesus has finished the work, He has paid the price in full!
"I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain". Galatians 2:21
Jesus, therefore, calls everyone who wills to partake of the spoil, saying.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
Beloved, you, if you will, you too can be saved, and be fully assured of your salvation today, not by works.
"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. Acts 2:39.
Only Believe, accept and confess the Lord Jesus
".. and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house". Acts 16:30-31.
Therefore, my beloved,
"if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation". Romans 10:9-10To have assurance of your salvation, or to rededicate your life to God, or to be genuinely saved, mention your name and sincerely declare as follows with your mouth:

"I ..(mention your full names).. confess the Lord, I now believe that Jesus Christ lived and died and God raised Him from the dead. Right now, I'm inviting Jesus in to my heart, forgive all my sins and  come be my Lord and personal Saviour for ever. Thank you Jesus for saving me. I hereby declare that I am saved, and a born again child of God. Amen"
