BE ANGRY BUT SIN NOT! EXAMINING WORDS SPOKEN AGAINST GOD!
"Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee? Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered". Malachi 3:13-15
There are many people today who are ignorantly ensnared, taken and hurting in life and destiny simply by the careless, care-free and terrible use of their tongues in a manner contrary to divine order, as the scripture says,
"Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth" Proverbs 6:2.
Christian Marriage: How to Find God's will
These people through murmurings, jestings with rebeliously scornful words speaks against God, His judgments, His statutes, His kingdom or His anointed contrary to divine warnings thereby incurring God's wrath.
"And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there. And the LORD heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and sware, saying, Surely there shall not one of these men of this evil generation see that good land, which I sware to give unto your fathers. Deuteronomy 1:27-28,34-35
Others, knowingly or unknowingly through ignorance or unbelief by usurping God's glory have made themselves candidates of destruction by the pride and arrogance with which they speak against or react to God and His ordinances.
"And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the king's country. And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost". Acts 12:20-23
Therefore, the Lord says:
"Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward which have murmured against me". Numbers 14:28-29
Many believers are of the belief that this law of speaking it and having it so before God is only applicable in the place of prayer, unfortunately they are wrong by scripture. Even Job was amazed at it's application, saying
"If I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice. Job 9:16
At the war-front, while David faced Goliath, he spoke a word and God took it up and accomplished it to the full.
"Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands". 1 Samuel 17:45-47
Anyone who speaks without knowledge against God is adjudged a fool, Psalm 14:1.
This is the spiritual location of anyone who mocks God. Speaking contemptuously against God stands in the way of His glory, this is a battle God cannot resist, Isaiah 42:8
People by their mouths also speak against the ordinances and judgements of God, thereby making themselves a judge where they have no jurisdiction, James 4:11.
Speaking against the ordinances of God is a direct and open rebellion against God, Deut.1:26-28, Psalm 107:10-12;17-18.
People also speak against God's nature, His righteousness, judgment and wisdom. They say, "is there wisdom in God? there's no justice in God! after all I have done for God and the people, why should I have this problem or suffer this?"
"They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth. And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? Psalm 73:9&11
They are ignorant of the fact that "God is good", not because of any good or bad he has done to you or anyone around you, but because it is His nature.
God's goodness or faithfulness transcends anything we know or think about Him.
The ferocious attack, persecution and temptation of Satan against a believer or anyone is simply to achieve one goal against God, which is to move the people God so loved and has invested so much on to "Charge God foolishly and judge Him wicked", thereby sinning with their lips against God to provoke God's wrath upon themselves, Job 1:16,20-22, Job 2:9-10.
Satan opt for this strategy knowing, that until God is angry with you, he (satan) has no authority over you to carry out his evil plans.
"The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning. The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned! Lamentations 5:15-16
OVERCOMING WORDS OF SELF DESTRUCTION
Our adversary is a master strategist. He can neither say the word or sin for us, so he uses every means to get a man to say the word, so himself can be guilty of sin before God. Every spoken word is a seed sown. This is why the word of God says clearly that everyone shall give account of everything, good or bad. As words of righteousness leads to health and life, so does words of sin leads to destruction and death, Proverbs 21:21.
Therefore, our wisdom is to train ourself to scripturally discern and react properly to every temptation to utter words of self destruction, some of these are:
1. SELF CONTROL
Bible refers to a man without self control as a "city without a wall" Proverbs 25:28.
Anger and joy are natural emotional reactions given for man's benefit. Anger turns sin when it becomes prolonged, refused to be appeased, excessive and vengeful. But joy uncontrolled leads to drunkenness, foolishness and offenses to God. Words uttered in anger or when the heart is overcharged are usually foolish and implicative, thereby leading to sin.
"Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil". Ephesians 26-27
To prevent this, Maintain self control by the authority and principles of the kingdom. Learn from king Herod in Acts 12:20-23.

2. SPEAK AS YOU HAVE BELIEVED
"We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak" 2 Corinthians 4:13
The principle of speaking in Christianity according to faith is to " speak as we believed, by the word of God, giving Him thanks and glory" not as we feel". The reason is that emotions are deceptive, being a direct product of our sensual- human nature, the flesh. In it dwells enmity with God. It's principles runs contrary to God's and can not please or obey God in it's conclusion of things. Rom.8:5-8
3. GIVE GOD THE BENEFIT OF DOUBT
Job refused to side with his feelings or his wife to see wickedness with God in charging Him foolishly. His conclusion was " if God gave good, why should we not also receive evil, if it is from Him? This he concluded with the assurance that God is good all the time in all His dealings toward him.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose". Romans 8:28, Heb.11:17-19.
Develope an unwavering trust in the goodness of God, no matter how the situation appears around you and believe God has allowed it for His praise through your life.
4. TRUST THE WISDOM OF GOD
It is natural for the weak to submit to the superior wisdom of the wise. Many who claims to believe God is Omniscient, usually fail to accept it so when God's choice runs contrary to theirs, thereby leaning on theirs to make decisions. Thereby falling short of God's will.
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:5-7.

5. TRUST GOD'S JUDGEMENT
Many are dissatisfied with God because they do not really trust God's judgment. Such people trust God to do justice in punishing their enemy's sin but pardon them when guilty of thesame offense, but when He doesn't, they result to murmurings and complaining when they don't get what they want. This is an attitude of self destruction among people but Job accepted God's judgment, even when he doesn't understand why, because he trusted Him, saying,
"Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before Him" Job 13:15-16
When you trust God, you let go of human ideas and reasoning in favour of God's even when you don't understand how or why. Job 33:12-13, Isaiah 50:7&10
6. STAY DUMB, BUT IN PRAYER
Beloved, Satan creates a scene and watches to see what your reaction will be. His aim is to obtain a reason to accuse you before God. Jesus "was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth". Isaiah 53:7, Luke 11:53-54, Rev.12:10
"He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne it upon him. He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope. He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach". Lamentations 3:28-30
Where ever there's any evil, accusations, allegations, denial of justice and affliction against you, the scriptural remedy is
"let him pray" Jam.5:13.
Any other self employed strategy exposes you to self destruction. All who murmured and spoke in doubt of God's word in the wilderness were destroyed, they never saw the promised land. Ps.39:1-3, Prov.14:17, 1Chron.21:1-4, Prov.10:19

7. EVIL IS PRESENT ON EARTH
"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart" Genesis 6:5-6
Sometimes, when evil happens, we hurriedly aportion the blame to God by quickly forgetting the fact that evil is naturally present on the earth; bad things happen, even when it's not the express will of God. Apostle Paul realized this when he famously said
"I desire to do good, but evil is present with me" Rom.7:21.
The tempter is always on-hand- around us, scheming something evil to sway us.
Be aware, that Satan does not mean well for anyone, he counts us enemies of his, and is in constant battle, especially with those who seek to do God's will.
"Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time" Revelation 12:12
FINAL WORDS:
Dearly beloved, it's no hidden fact that as believers, we could be hard-pressed as we have had many believers as witnesses to this before us for example. It's unavoidable!
But when we wholly follow God, see things from His holy- Scriptural perspective and accept His plans and purposes for us in humble submission, we can be assured of overcoming and coming out with His will accomplished for our good and to the glory of God. Amen
