THE WINNING WISDOM
"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding"Knowledge is experience gained through learning. Not everyone who goes through the school of learning wins, or are equally placed, even though they all went through the same teacher and Training manual. Therefore, winning takes more than learning.
What is Wisdom?
Wisdom is often associated with the skills and abilities to do things or solve problems in an amazing manner.
A man's perception of a thing is a function of his mind and experiences from which it is contemplated.
According to the Holy Bible, there is the human mind (John 2:23-25, Ps.78:37-39), the mind of Christ (in regenerated souls), (Tit.3:5-7, Heb.12:1-2) and the mind of the world in the unregenerated; these are those who have not been reconciled with God through Jesus Christ and hence have not the Holy Spirit ruling over their lives. (Rom.8:1-2;8-9, Rom.6:19-21).
In as much as these minds forms the foundation of thoughts, the definition of wisdom will be relative, one to the other. In other words, your mind will determine your definition of wisdom. (1Cor.2:10-16).
While the natural human mind defines Wisdom as the correct application of knowledge gained through our experiences ( with our Five senses of Eye(Sight), Ear(Hearing), Skin(Touch), Tongue (Taste) and the Nose(Smell). This is wisdom gained through conventional learning and other humanly devised means for relating with nature. Moses, the Apostle Paul, Daniel and his friends received this kind of training, specific to their time and needs as it is with our generation.
"And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds" (Acts 7:22, Phil.3:4-6, Dan.1:3-4).
The Regenerated soul sees Wisdom as the Spirit of God and Hence defines it as Revelational Knowledge. This has nothing to do with previous Experiences or Learning but divine inspiration available from the throne of Grace, as and at when needed for the glory of God.
"Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen. And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake". Acts 6:9-10.
It's the type of wisdom that no man can gainsay or deny that it's of God. This is wisdom from the mind of God!
"Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. Luke 21:14-15, 1Kings 4:30
The wisdom of the unregenerated mind is one which flows from the devil.
"Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God" John 8:43-44, 47, Jam.3:13-16,
This is the wisdom of "this world- a foolishness, contrast spiritually" to the wisdom of God (1Cor.3:19) and reflects both the mind and the Intentions of Satan.
THE WINNING WISDOM
WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?
"But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding? Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.
No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?
God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof.
And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding".(Job 28:12-13,15,18,20,23,28)
Beloved, have you considered the reality of the Scripture which says " the Race is not to the swift..or riches to men of understanding? Eccl.9:11-Or that Promotion comes not, from the North or South? Ps.75:4-7
These and many of our everyday life experiences confirms that it takes this winning wisdom, usually refered to as "Revelational Knowledge" to stand out above your equals anywhere. Ps.45:7, Dan.1:20.
This wisdom is often christened foolishness to those ignorant of the ways of God.
A winning wisdom enhances one's innate and learned abilities for supernatural results. It transfers and transforms a man into another man thereby commanding strange results and breeds supernatural approaches for problem solving. 1Sam.10:6-7
In engineering, I believe all over the world, the subject of computer and engineering is taught as a combination of 0's and 1's, -'s and +'s. No matter how you arrange that, it can never stand a physical computer or a robot.
The scripture testifies that God operates in the winning wisdom (Ps.136:5, Prov.3:19). God also endows same upon His Chosen sons all through the ages. Solomon, 1Kings 4:30-34, Stephen Acts 6:9-10, Moses, Joseph etc.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WINNING WISDOM
"And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 1 Corinthians 2:4-8
Finding God's will in Marriage
Having understood that there are diverse kinds of wisdom, we shall be looking at the characteristics of the superior-winning wisdom of God.
What is the Winning wisdom?
1. By-product of Redemption- "But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 1Corinthians 1:24, 30
2. It is a spirit of God - And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; Isaiah 11:2, Eph.1:17
3. Has it's foundation on the Fear of God- Prov.28:28
The Just and his Faith4. It is the Inspiration of God -But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding, Job 32:8, Mark 13:11
5. Drawn from the word of God- Prov.1:5, Ps.119:99
6. It is a Gift of God
"Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. Prov.2:5-7, 2Chron.9:23
7. Delights in Righteousness-
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James 3:17
8. Not knowledge/ experience based
All this have I proved by wisdom: I said, I will be wise; but it was far from me. Eccl.7:23, 2Cor.12:9-10
9. Can be Endowed by asking God.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him God- believing, and it will be given. 2Chron.1:10-13, Jam.1:5-6.
Be Angry But Sin Not!
CONCLUSION:
The winning wisdom is part of what Jesus Christ was made for us, along with sanctification and redemption from the beginning. This was fully confirmed by His sacrifice on the Cross.
Since it's in Christ Jesus that the fullness of God Consist bodily Col.2:9, When you receive Jesus as Your Lord and personal Saviour, this winning wisdom will be imparted as a birth right.

" Lord Jesus, I am sorry for trusting my own ways and for my sins. Today, I repent, believe and come to you. Forgive me and wash me by your saving blood. Lord Jesus I offer you my life, come into my heart and be my Lord and personal Saviour, make me yours from today. Thank you for I believe you have heard and answered me, "I am saved" From now I confess you my Lord and my personal Saviour. Amen"
